Everyone knows that the world is set to change dramatically as a result of the growing use of robots. Industrial robots have already become prolific in manufacturing environments, and unmanned systems will soon have a big impact in our everyday lives. Space53 sees not only the opportunities, but also the obstacles.
Relevant legislation and social acceptance are two important preconditions for the large-scale application of unmanned systems that can further enrich our lives. The smart companies are ahead of the game and are already developing unmanned systems that will be suitable and permissible for use in the future.
In the eastern part of the Netherlands, high-tech developers of unmanned systems are being given plenty of scope to achieve their ambitions. The well-developed high-tech ecosystem offers ambitious companies and researchers the knowledge, capital and infrastructure to turn their innovations into reality. ‘Launching customers’, such as the Province of Overijssel, Veiligheidsregio Twente and the city of Enschede – drone capital of the EU – willingly test the innovations and explore the market opportunities.
Space53’s innovation partners are working to accelerate the unmanned system innovation process.
In short and inspiring sessions, we bring researchers, customers and technology suppliers together to explore new solutions and create successful business models. Our facilities are suitable both for temporary visitors and for those who want to be based in this strong high-tech environment for a longer period of time. Starters and scale-ups are invited to participate in our acceleration programme which guides them towards success in leaps and bounds.
